SOMMO POETA is a handmade precious resin ballpoint pen with nickel-free 24kt palladium plated bronze elements and scratch-proof enamels. Its colors are not accidental: red distinguishes both the Florentine lily and Dante Alighieri’s headdress; black epitomizes elegance. The color of palladium in the metal parts was chosen to give an image of linear and contemporary design. The soft and sinuous line of the clip unequivocally recalls Dante's profile.
A perfect gift for professional and academic milestones, this ballpoint pen captures the spirit of Florence and it is a writing essential for those who love the city of Dante.Being the pen handcrafted the final product may differ slightly from the picture.
⚜All our writing instruments are handcrafted in our studio in Florence with traditional methods and techniques. Only a few people know that the first Italian fountain pen was built in the early 1900s in Florence by a goldsmith; we’re honoring such heritage with this new collection of ballpoint pens.
🎁All our pens are shipped in their gift box and are accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by ourselves (designer Valerio Salvadori and master goldsmith Marco Frangini). The ballpoint pen includes an international standard ballpoint refill with gel ink (Schmidt, Germany).
